If you have a Tesla Powerwall, your communicator is most likely located in the Tesla Gateway cabinet. If the communicator is located in the NGEN cabinet next to the meter, please follow the instructions in the next tab.
Step 1
Please check the functionality of your internet connection. If your internet is working, procced to step 2.
Step 2
Open the Tesla Gateway cabinet by pressing the button located on the right side.
Step 3
Inside the cabinet, you will find the RESET NGEN FLEX button. Hold the button for 2 seconds. This will restart the communicator. If you cannot locate the button, proceed to step 4.
Step 4
If there is no RESET NGEN FLEX button in your cabinet, you will find a terminal clamp with a fuse. Open the clamp for a few seconds and then close it again. This will restart the communicator.
Step 5
If the communicator has successfully established a connection, you will be notified via email within a few minutes.
If there is only an NGEN communication cabinet at your location, your communicator is located inside the cabinet.
Step 1
Please check the functionality of your internet connection. If your internet is working, proceed to step 2.

Open the NGEN communication cabinet.
Step 3
Inside the cabinet, you will find the RESET NGEN FLEX button. Hold the button for 2 seconds. This will restart the communicator. If you cannot locate the button, proceed to step 4.

If there is no RESET NGEN FLEX button in your cabinet, you will find a terminal clamp with a fuse. Simply open the clamp for a few seconds and then close it again. This will restart the communicator.
Step 5
If the communicator has successfully established a connection, you will be notified via email within a few minutes.
